Our mission is to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We center all we do on Christ. One way that we do this is by studying His Word, the Bible. We encourage everyone who walks through our doors to become a student of the Bible. These weekly Bible studies are a great way to dive into God’s Word and grow in your faith.
SUNDAY
Seekers of His Heart
This group meets at 10:00-11:00 am (during the second service) in The Chapel and is led by a team headed up by Carolyn Opderbeck. They will be doing a Discipleship study by Ray Vander Lann. This study examines what it means to be a follower of Christ through the cultural, historical, and otherwise contextual lens of Scripture. This class is ongoing and meets every week. Monday Morning Women’s Bible Study
This group meets in the Lower Chapel from 9:30-11:00 am starting on September 15th. We are studying the book of James, going through the text verse by verse. Moms in Prayer
This group meets in the Church Library from 1:30-2:30 pm starting on September 22nd. The vision of Moms in Prayer is that every school in the world would be covered with prayer. Would you prayerfully consider joining with other women in our church (mom and women who are not moms but have a heart to pray for our young people) to pray for the kids in our schools. With everything that is going on in our schools right now, we may feel like we are powerless to do anything. That is the farthest from the truth, we have an all powerful God to call upon. Women of the Word
This group meets 9:30-11:30 am in both the Lower Chapel and online via Google Meet starting on September 9th. Our Fall bible study is a Precept upon Precept study of the book of Genesis. Adam and Eve, the serpent and an apple? Noah’s Ark and a worldwide flood? The Tower of Babel? Are these real or imagined? Stories or facts? What difference does it make anyway? In this study you will learn how Genesis holds the keys to understanding the origin of sin and evil, the justice of God’s judgment, and the mercy of God’s plan for the redemption of mankind and hope for a lost and dying world. Daughters of the King
This group meets in the Chapel from 9:30-11:30 am starting on September 17th. The fall bible study will be on the book of Hebrews, using the Jen Wilkin study entitled Better. In this verse-by-verse study they will explore how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise. Deep Roots
This group meets in the Fireside Room from 9:30-11:30 am starting back on September 10th. Our current study is Lord, I Want to Know You: A Devotional Study on the Names of God by Kay Arthur. So much of our confusion and pain results because we don’t know God — who He really is, how He works in our lives. But with this study, that will all change. When you know God more fully by studying His names — Creator, Healer, Protector, Provider, and many others — you’ll gain power to stand strong. Moms & Mentors
Join our Moms and Mentors community, where faith, friendship, and support come together as we navigate motherhood. Inspired by Titus 2:3-5, our group connects experienced mentors with moms seeking guidance, encouragement, and fellowship.
We meet in the Fireside Room once a month, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., starting September 13th. Arrive early for a continental breakfast and coffee. Our gatherings include Bible study and shared experiences in a warm setting. Childcare is available but YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE. This group meets once a month on the Hawthorne Campus.
