CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
D.L. Moody said “When you save a child, you save a life—a whole life”. There is a season in a person’s life when they are most open to learning what it means to trust God. It’s a season—sometime between 4-14 years old—when people are more moldable than they will ever be in their lifetime. It’s when people are forming their understanding of the world, of relationships, of love, of God. It’s a season when people are impressionable. We should be intentional about ensuring that they get the right impression.
What is rooted in the heart of a child is almost impossible to uproot in the life of an adult. There are many places to serve in Children’s Ministry with all different age groups. You can serve on Sunday mornings or evenings; on Wednesday night at Kid’s Klub; or at Vacation Bible School at the end of June. DESIRE 4 HOPE
Join this wonderful group of people who serve breakfast to the homeless in Paterson every Saturday morning. This is open for women, men and children to serve so it’swonderful for singles, a group of friends, or families. Meet at 8:15am in the Chapel foyer at HGC. You could also help to prepare food for the Monday nights “dinner in the streets” (men only). Or join the Desire4Hope prayer team or committee to help with media and/or fundraising. MOMS AND MENTORS
We are looking for volunteers to help with childcare as we pour into the live of moms of preschool and school age children. This group meets once a month from September to May (skipping December) for a time of fellowship, mentorship, and growing in God’s word. Help us serve these moms by taking care of their little ones in our childcare area. Everything that you need will be provided to help you have a fun time with the kids while the mom is in their group. Childcare will be provided in the nursery and C10 room from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Thank you for prayerfully considering being a part of this ministry.
