Jake Minnema joined the Hawthorne Gospel Church staff full-time in August 2008. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ramapo College and a Master’s degree in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary. Jake served as our Pastor of Student Ministries from 2008 through the summer of 2026 before moving into the role of Associate Pastor. His greatest joys in ministry center around Bible study, seeing people commit their lives more fully to the Lord, and serving alongside his wonderful wife, May. Jake and May were married in 2011 and have three children: Caleb, Ellie, and Maggie.
