Adult Bible Classes

HGC Adult Education complements the small groups in the church. While some people learn best in the classroom setting of a large class, others may do better in a small group which is more relational and has more accountability. The intention is that everyone will find the way that best helps them to grow and mature.

Our Adult Bible Classes take place on Sunday morning. These classes take place at 10:00 (during the middle service) and cover topics on theology, books of the Bible, to marriage, spiritual growth, and more. Below is a list of the classes currently offered.

The Life of David

Explore David’s journey from humble shepherd to Israel’s greatest king. Discover his faith, failures, and God’s grace that made him a man after God’s own heart.

1 & 2 Peter and Colossians

Explore practical truths for living out our faith in a challenging culture. Learn to stand firm through trials, recognize false teaching, grow through Scripture, and experience the living hope, supremacy, and completeness we have in Christ.

The Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin

Seekers of His Heart (Ladies’ Bible study) class will explore what it means to live as a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. Discover Jesus’ teaching on how His followers are called to think, live, and follow Him with true faith and righteousness.

The Holy Spirit

We will be studying all the attributes of the Holy Spirit and how to apply them in our daily lives.

The Book of Romans

The main theme of Romans is justification by faith. We will cover chapters 12–16, focusing on putting our faith into practice through our relationship with God, other believers, the world, and the state.
