GATHER & GROW: FALL WOMEN’S KICKOFF

FRIDAY, AUGUST 25TH, 6:30 PM, IN THE PAVILION

We are so excited to have you join us for our Gather & Grow, Women’s Fall Kickoff event! Come create together and grow together.  Join us for a special gathering of women filled with creativity, conversation, fellowship, and a little time to simply enjoy being together. This will also be a dessert potluck, so please bring a dessert to share.

The evening will begin with a large-group welcome, an introduction to our theme, and instructions for the rest of the night. After that, we’ll break into smaller groups, where you’ll choose one class from each session.

Session 1 Options:

  • Home Decorating 🏡🍂Create a home that feels beautiful, welcoming, and uniquely yours! Join us for practical tips and tricks for designing a beautiful home, along with seasonal decorating ideas to help you refresh your space throughout the year. Come be inspired, learn something new, and enjoy fellowship with other women! (Cost:Free)
  • Photography – Eyes to See: Glimpses of Glory in the Palm of Your Hand 📱Our phones are always within reach, giving us the ability to capture the beauty and meaningful moments happening all around us! Take this opportunity to learn how to take photos with purpose on purpose while discovering what it means to have “eyes to see”. In this practical, encouraging, and interactive workshop, we’ll explore and practice simple techniques for taking better photos with your phone. From finding beautiful light and choosing perspective to creating thoughtful compositions and capturing authentic moments. Along the way, we’ll reflect on how photography can help us slow down, practice gratitude, and notice God’s goodness–these glimpses of glory– woven throughout our everyday lives. (Cost:Free)
  • Cookie Decorating 🍪🎨 Come get creative with us as we turn cookies into edible works of art! In this fun, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn simple techniques for decorating beautiful cookies. No artistic experience is needed—just come ready to create, enjoy some sweet treats, and fellowship with other women!   (Cost: $5)

Session 2 Options:

  • The Joy of Sourdough  🍞Curious about sourdough? Come learn the basics of getting started with sourdough baking! We’ll cover the essentials of sourdough, including starter care, basic techniques, and tips for successful baking at home. No experience necessary—just come ready to learn, connect, and enjoy some fun fellowship! (Cost:Free)
  • Beginner Crochet  🧶Come learn the relaxing and creative art of crochet! This beginner-friendly workshop will introduce you to the basic crochet stitches and techniques you need to get started. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to learn, create, and enjoy some fellowship with other women!  (Cost: $5)
  • Experienced Crocheters 🧶Bring your own supplies and enjoy working on your current project. (Cost:Free)
  • Iced Drink Glass Decorating ☕️🍂Sip, create, and connect! In this fun craft workshop, you’ll personalize your very own glass iced-drink cup, complete with a lid and straw. Choose your own Bible verse, designs, and creative touches to make a cup that’s uniquely yours. Come enjoy some creativity, conversation, and sweet fellowship as we kick off the fall season together! (Cost: $5)

Please note that some classes have a $5 supply fee and are limited to 50 participants. Registration for these classes is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment is due at the time of registration.

We’ll wrap up the evening with a fun group watercolor activity and enjoy yummy desserts. We hope you’ll join us for a night of fellowship, creativity, and fun—and don’t forget to invite a friend!

Refreshment & Reflection (R&R) is a time for women to come together and be encouraged in God’s Word. This group meets five times a year on a Saturday morning from 8:45am-10:00am. The meeting location is in the Fireside Room of the Hawthorne Gospel Church.

Our Fall Women’s Conference speaker is Debbie Taylor Williams. Debbie, founder of Hill Country Ministries, is dedicated to spreading God’s Word and love, is a sought out national Christian speaker and author. Conference Ticket Pricing:

$30 Early Bird, Until Sept. 27th

$35 Regular, Sept 28th – Nov. 8th

$45 Late, Nov. 9th – Nov. 14th

FOOD: The base price for the conference includes a coffee break in the morning. You have the option of ordering lunch or bringing your own lunch. Lunch will be catered by Nicholas Market and must be pre-ordered by Sunday November 8th, as the lunches will be ordered on Monday November 9th. Lunches will not be available to purchase on the day of the conference and are not transferable to another attendee.
