Refreshment & Reflection (R&R) is a time for women to come together and be encouraged in God’s Word. This group meets five times a year on a Saturday morning from 8:45am-10:00am. The meeting location is in the Fireside Room of the Hawthorne Gospel Church.
THE LADIES’ HOSPITALI-TEA
SATURDAY, JANUARY 24TH, 2-4 PM, IN THE PAVILION

At this year’s-Tea’s, Kim Burres is speaking on the topic of Prayer. The Ladies’ Hospitali-Tea was first held 22 years ago with the goal of building community within our church family. Hawthorne Gospel is a large church and so our community building needs to be intentional. This community building was done by mixing up the seating at each table so the women attending would get to know a new person. We have moved away from this in the most recent years and we want to get back to it. So for this year’s tea, the seating assignments will be assigned randomly. This way everyone has the opportunity to possibly meet someone that they do not know. We trust that the Lord has the perfect plan for each one of our women even down to where they sit and with whom. Please join me in praying for this event and for the special relationships that will result from it.
This event is an inreach for our church. For this reason the registration for this event is open first to those who are regular attendees of Hawthorne/Hackensack Gospel Church. Non-HGC women can register for the waiting list selection and open seats will be filled from the waiting list on a first come first serve basis. The open seats will be filled by the waiting list on January 15th. You will be notified via email if there is a seat available for you.
We had so much fun last year having our traditional tea party, that we are going to encourage women again to dress up with hats and all. This is not required but encouraged. MINISTRY FOCUS: Our Ministry focus for this event is HGC’s Awana Program. This is our Sunday evening program that is focused on discipleship of the preschool and elementary age children.
