Our mission is to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We center all we do on Christ. One way that we do this is by studying His Word, the Bible. We encourage everyone who walks through our doors to become a student of the Bible. These weekly Bible studies are a great way to dive into God’s Word and grow in your faith.

Seekers of His Heart meets on Sundays from 10:00-11:00 am in The Chapel. The leaders are Carolyn Opderbeck and Ermetta Olson. This study is both in person and virtually via Zoom. Please contact Carolyn at rcopdrbk@optonline.net for the Zoom information.
SoHH fall study will begin on Sunday, Sept. 11th. They will be studying Genesis: walking with God in the footsteps of faith. Genesis is the book of beginnings, including the beginning of the world, man, sin and the nations. We will learn to trust what God has revealed, accept by faith what we don’t understand and put into action what we believe. Will we gain a richer understanding of God and His eternal plan of redemption even before the foundation of the world was laid!

Moms in Prayer The vision of Moms in Prayer is that every school in the world would be covered with prayer. Would you prayerfully consider joining with other women in our church (mom and women who are not moms but have a heart to pray for our young people) to pray for the kids in our schools. With everything that is going on in our schools right now, we may feel like we are powerless to do anything. That is the farthest from the truth, we have an all powerful God to call upon. He is in control, and He is calling us to come together in prayer. We have two Moms in Prayer groups that meet here at HGC. This group meets on Mondays at 1:30 pm. Women of the Word meets on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 am in both the Lower Chapel and online via zoom. This study is led by Therese Hausler and Kathryn Wansong. Our study this fall will start on Tuesday, Sept. 13th. We will be doing a study of 1 Peter “How to Stand Firm When Tested”. Are you prepared for suffering? Will trials and persecutions reveal your faith and bring glory to God? Listen to what Peter says to believers enduring tribulations. Followed by a study of 2 Peter “How to Be Kept From Falling”- In a day when false teachers are leading countless people astray, to live effectively for Christ we need to know the truth. Ladies in Touch meets Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00 pm in The Chapel led by Rosette Almoyan. How should we pray? Does God hear my prayers? James 5:16 “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and hears the cry of their heart. To strengthen and deepen our prayer life, we will discover from His Word the will of God and His purposes for us as believers. All moms of preschool and school aged kid are welcome to join for this amazing group. There will be a time of fellowship, fun and diving into God's Word together. Each mom will be in a group with some mentors who are there to pour into all the moms who attend. Childcare is available but you MUST register in advance so that we are properly staffed to care for your precious children. This group meets once a month on a Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 am. The dates are TBA
