The Starting Place is our entry class at the Hawthorne Gospel Church. If you are new or have yet to get plugged in, this class will help you take your first steps and will help you get to know our church and what we are all about.
This class is offered every other month and is only two weeks long. The next starting place class is happening in September. Email Kirk De Boer for more information on the Starting Place.
While baptism doesn’t save you, we believe that it is an outward sign of an inward reality. If you have accepted Christ as your Savior we encourage you to take the first step and get baptized and proclaim to everyone that you are a follower of Jesus Christ.

It is our desire you work together to accomplish the mission of Jesus Christ which is making his name known among all the nations of the earth. Our membership process at HGC simply is an acknowledgement of a desire to be a part of what we are doing as a church.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church, a two-session class will be held sporadically throughout the year so you can work your way to becoming a member. A candidate must attend both of the classes as part of the membership process.
