Michael Jefferson
Mike accepted Jesus as his Savior as a teenager and recommitted his life to the Lord in his early twenties. He and his wife, Carolyn, have been attending HGC since 1987 and have raised their two sons, Malcolm and Marcus, here. Malcolm graduated from Hawthorne Christian Academy in 2011 and Marcus graduated in 2015. Mike is also a member of the HCA Committee. Carolyn has taught a small group Bible study. Mike has worked for an information technology company in various sales and management positions for over 35 years and resides in Wayne. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, working outdoors, and cheering on the HCA soccer teams.
Stephen Mandaro
On March 25, 1975 at the age of 19, Steve accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior. He and his wife, Fortune, have 4 daughters, 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Steve has been a member of HGC for 33 years. He has served as president on the Executive Committee of the Church Board, helped in Boys Brigade, prepared the Wednesday Night Family Fellowship Dinners, serves on the Building Committee, and is currently a year-round volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child. After sensing God’s call to get involved in missions, Steve and Fortune have been on 6 short-term mission trips to the village of Olpiro in Tanzania, Morocco and Algeria. He is the co-owner of Brothers Carpet & Flooring Inc. For R & R, Steve loves spending time with his children and grandchildren on the North Fork of Long Island and enjoys the extreme sport of kite surfing.
Frank Tirrito
Frank has attended Hawthorne Gospel Church since April of 2000 and committed his life to the Lord in May of that same year. Frank has been a member of HGC since 2000 as well. He currently serves as a Deacon, is the Head Usher, a leader of the Men’s Ministry, serves as a Connector and is part of the Life Safety team. He also facilitates men’s bible studies and leads the men’s Legacy Group at HGC. Frank has a heart for men and their spiritual growth as leaders in their homes and community. He is involved with other Christian organizations outside of HGC. Frank serves HGC where and when the opportunity of service is needed and looks forward to serving and being available to the HGC Congregation. Frank is married to Elaine and they have four children and four grandchildren. They live in Mahwah. Frank is a project manager & estimator for a very large electrical company.
