Our pathway can be best described as a healthy loving environment where people Worship, Connect, Grow, and Serve together. As our purpose statement proclaims, we desire to be and develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
We have created an easy to follow series of steps to guide you.
The Pathway Process, 3 Simple Steps:
1. VISIT ONE OF THE DISCOVERY CENTER LOCATIONS AND SPEAK WITH A CONNECTOR.
You can find Discovery Centers in the main foyer and in the Pavilion on Sundays. You can also fill out this form if you want to learn how you can get plugged in. We will get back to you as soon as we can so we can help you get plugged in and connected to the church in a personal way.
2. DISCERN YOUR NEXT STEP
If you are new, please fill out a Welcome Card located in the church pews and hand it to a Connector. The Connectors will give you a small gift of welcome and help you get started. For those ready to just jump in, we have a class called “The Equipping Track” that offers a number of opportunities over a two-year span to develop us as followers of Christ. Whether new or familiar to the faith, there is something here for you.
CONNECT: SMALLER GROUPS:
This is the direction you want to take in order to meet people and engage in smaller community. Here the discussions are biblically based but embedded in a more relational atmosphere. We want you to connect with other believers because we believe that pursuing Christ can only be done in community with other believers.
GROW: BIBLE STUDIES
We want you to grow further toward Christ. We can take those steps by studying God's word. Here you will provide yourself with the space and time you need to enjoy the life-changing intricacies that in-depth bible study has to offer.
SERVE: MINISTRY SERVE TEAMS
Our goal is to serve others just as Christ served us. Here you will find opportunities that include everything from cooking at home, to teaching our children, to projects and causes everywhere from Hawthorne to Paterson to Tanzania.
Please keep in touch with a Pastoral Team Member, an Elder, or a Connector as to your Next Step experience. Did it go well? Where have you become connected? Did it not go well? What was the problem and how can we re-direct you?
